Research Engineer at Abdul Lateef Jameel Co. Ltd.
Role/ Purpose of positon:
Conduct fundamental or applied research to improve, or generate new products, components and equipment for the accessories business.
Key accountabilities:
1.To conduct search and investigation of new ideas and products by using established approved principles and methodologies in order to achieve department objectives.
2.To conduct technical and business analysis of new ideas and products by applying any established scientific methods, principles and theories to ensure the proposed ideas and products do meet the Company directions.
3.To lead the Initiative Project Management by providing the estimate cost, resources and time required to conduct the research project to ensure the set parameters are met.
4.Support Department Head and MD in other important initiatives outside department
Key activities:
1.Search for new ideas and products from global sources from any available source of information to ensure that the business is able to identify the potential accessories or parts suppliers
2.Maintain updated company profile for each current supplier being researched through effective and efficient database management in ensuring the suppliers can be contacted in the future whenever their services are required.
3.Detailed project management and technical analysis of each proposed idea using established procedures techniques and Project Management software so that effective decision making can be made by the management team.
4.Support department head and JACS Malaysia R&D head on an as-needed basis in terms
5.Manage third-party product evaluations (if needed) by applying all the established approved principles, methodologies and theories to ensure the standard in terms of quality and performance are according to the company, business, Toyota and Japan.
6.Maintain ISO related documentation by having effective and proper filing system so that the document can be easily retrieved as required.

Judges Bill on cabinet agenda today
The cabinet is expected to take up on Thursday a controversial Bill that seeks to allow for the first time the citizens to complain against corrupt judges. The complainant, however, will have to reveal the source of information.
