Saudi Arabia: A newly established investment firm by a group of Saudi businessmen has announced plans to invest in agricultural products in Asia, the Financial Times has reported. Atlas Media to print international papers in Dubai

Dubai-based Atlas Media Communications has signed an agreement with content distribution company NewspaperDirect to print up to 12 international newspapers in the UAE, The National has reported. The company started printing British newspapers including the Daily Mail, Daily Star and Daily Express on May 18, with plans to start printing more European titles, as well as newspapers from the US, Far East, Australia and South Africa. Under the terms of the licence, Atlas Media has the rights to print NewspaperDirect titles across the GCC and in east Africa. The newspapers will be available in some 300 outlets across the UAE including Spinney’s, Carrefour and Dubai Duty Free, distributed by Jashanmal and Tawseel.

Introduction to Program
CH2M HILL has been awarded a Program Management Support Contract (PMSC) to provide program management support to a large US$ 800 Million environmental remediation project. This project covers a vast geographical area including the entire Saudi Arabia/Kuwait border where allied forces mobilized prior to moving into Kuwait to dislodge Iraqi occupational forces, and the entire Eastern intertidal zone along approximately 800 KM of shoreline contaminated with oil following the sabotage of pipelines, pumping stations, and oil wells in Kuwait.

The overall PME program management effort includes oversight for the Terrestrial and Coastal/Marine Resources remediation, conduct field construction oversight of the terrestrial resources restoration activity and manage the Coastal/Marine Resources remediation effort. In particular, the PMSC conducts design reviews and provides task oversight and reporting. Furthermore, the PMSC provides support for preparation of bid packages and evaluation of bids, as well as overall support of procurement and oversight of field operations regarding remediation contractor performance.
